HP Procurve 4000m and Fast Ethernet Media Converters
Hello. I have an Procurve 4000M. I am trying to connect a second network to it using a Fast Ethernet Media Converter. If I use one Fast Ethernet Media Converter on the opposite end and connect it directly to the Procurve, I get no connection. The gigabit sx module on the procurve doesn't light up, no connection.
I MUST use 2 Fast Ethernet Media Converters on both sides of the fiber ends to make the connection work.
I am trying to use only one Fast Ethernet Media Converter on the far end that connects direclty into the Procurve but cannot get a link. I have tried different Fast Ethernet Media Converters.
Why? I have changed configs on the Procurve SX Module but still cannot get it to connect. I have even rebooted the switch.
Can anyone provide feedback??
