How Danfoss became a leader in sustainable innovation with HPE GreenLake
Danfoss is on a mission not only to be a leading provider of engineering solutions, but to be its customersโ preferred decarbonization partner in the process. Find out why Danfoss selected HPE GreenLake to serve as the IT foundation for its ambitious vision.
By Brandon Thomas, Senior Director, Product Management, HPE GreenLake Cloud Services Solutions
One of the great advantages of as-a-service solutions is their ability to simplify management of IT, enabling teams to devote more attention to innovative projects that can drive business outcomes. For more than a decade now, HPE GreenLake has delivered flexible solutions on a pay-per-use or subscription basis that help customers do exactly that.
At HPE Discover 2023, we featured a great example of this in action: Engineering solutions provider Danfoss. The company delivers an extensive range of engineering products and solutions across heating, cooling, drives, and power solutions, which are produced in 97 factories located around the globe and sold in more than 100 countries. Family owned, the Denmark-based company doubled in size over the past five years and is on track to do it againโall while becoming their customersโ preferred decarbonization partner across some of the most emission-heavy sectors, including industry, transportation, and commercial building management.
Recognizing that achieving this ambitious vision to become their customersโ preferred decarbonization partner would require an equally innovative approach to IT, Danfoss selected HPE GreenLake to help transform their IT from a technology provider to a trusted advisor delivering services to the business.
Jeppe Agerbak Christensen, Senior Director and Head of IT Infrastructure at Danfoss, joined Vishal Lall, SVP and GM of HPE GreenLake Cloud Services Solutions, to talk more about its partnership with HPE to transform its global IT strategy โ check out the video below.
"We could never have grown with the business without that support we got from HPE."
Jeppe Agerbak Christensen, Senior Director and Head of IT Infrastructure, Danfoss
Jeppe shared that over the course of this massive digital transformation journey with HPE GreenLake cloud services, Danfoss was able to:
- Scale quickly. As I mentioned earlier, the company has doubled in size over the past five years and expects to do the same in the next five
- Reduce IT and hybrid cloud complexity, enabling Danfoss to access the right compute resources, in the right mix, at the right time
- Drive innovative business growth by releasing its engineers from routine tasks, enabling them to partner with the lines of business
- Achieve a higher level of security and low latency for their workloads
- Tap into the power of sustainable colocation by leveraging HPEโs partnership with Equinix
- Help a potential acquisition quickly recover from a cyberattack that it experienced just days before the signing.
Looking ahead, thereโs limitless potential for what HPE and Danfoss can achieve together. HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise will help Danfoss to align the right workloads on the right platform at the right time. It will foster an agile, sprint-based environment, further enabling Danfoss to get more out of less while continuously improving their products.
Whatโs so cool about Danfossโ story is that the company is as relentlessly innovative in its IT strategy as it is in its business strategy, and it is incredibly clear how tightly the outcomes of each are intertwined.
You can watch a video of Jeppeโs conversation with Vishal below.
