OpsRamp brings industry-leading AIOps-driven ITOM to HPE GreenLake
Hewlett Packard Enterprise recently closed on its acquisition of OpsRamp, setting the stage to bring OpsRampโs industry-leading information technology operations management (ITOM) capabilities to the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform, enabling customers to reduce the operational complexity of multi-vendor and multi-cloud IT environments.
By Varma Kunaparaju, CEO of OpsRamp, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company
OpsRamp, now a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, develops AIOps-powered IT operations management software ideally suited to hybrid cloud environments. (HPE recently closed on its acquisition of OpsRamp, previously announced in March.) OpsRampโs software includes hybrid discovery and observability of the entire IT estate, from the edge to the data center and to the cloud; AI-driven event management to detect and resolve issues faster while reducing alert noise; and intelligent automation of IT processes to improve IT service quality and efficiency while reducing redundant activities and ensuring audit or compliance policies.
OpsRamp enables organizations to simplify management of complex hybrid cloud environments, modernize their IT operations and infrastructure, and deliver end-to-end IT operational excellence and agility from IT asset and service discovery to issue resolution.
Bringing OpsRamp onto HPE GreenLake
HPE plans to integrate the OpsRamp artificial intelligence for IT operations (AIOps) and multi-vendor IT management capabilities with the HPE GreenLake platform and HPE Services to help organizations manage and transform their multi-vendor and multi-cloud IT estates. The HPE GreenLake platform already provides customers and partners with a unified experience to simplify hybrid and multi-cloud IT operations and easily access cloud services. OpsRamp will now enable HPE GreenLake customers to monitor and manage those hybrid and multi-cloud operations, improving the performance and reliability of those environments while reducing complexity and technical debt.

Three ways customers can use OpsRamp
HPE customers can leverage the AIOps and multi-vendor, multi-cloud capabilities of OpsRamp in three ways:
- Customers can now access and use OpsRamp directly on the HPE GreenLake platform, to improve the performance of all their HPE GreenLake assets.
- HPE will also offer OpsRamp capabilities through HPE Complete Care Service and HPE Managed Services, accelerating customersโ time to problem resolution through AIOps.
- Finally, customers can continue to purchase OpsRamp standalone as a SaaS offering from OpsRamp and will soon be able to buy OpsRamp directly from HPE.
Benefits of OpsRamp
OpsRampโs hybrid, full-stack observability capabilities, including metrics, events, logs, and traces (MELT), enable organizations to discover, observe and optimize their hybrid IT environments, bringing server, storage, network, virtualization, cloud, container, and application visibility together in a single, unified point of view and control.
OpsRampโs AI-driven event management leverages the power of machine learning and process automation to manage critical alerts, detect incidents and resolve them proactively. Alert noise is reduced and ITOps teams can resolve incidents faster. Finally, OpsRampโs intelligent automation helps modern digital operations and service delivery teams to reduce redundant activities, increase service qualities and ensure compliance to audit policies.
Together, HPE GreenLake and OpsRamp deliver end-to-end IT lifecycle management, providing a single point of visibility and control of HPE and non-HPE resources across hybrid IT ecosystems.
