HP 1920 ARP table size ?
hello everyone,
does anyone happen to know what's the HP 1920-48G's ARP table size?
I was only able to found its MAC table size [16k] but not the ARP one.
I'm I right if I take it like this: 16k for MAC table = 16k ARP table ?
thanks & cheers
rooter

Re: HP 1920 ARP table size ?
Hello!
It's probably not 16k for the ARP table...
For exemple, for the 1910-48, the MAC table is 8k and the ARP table is 256 (I got problems with that...).

Re: HP 1920 ARP table size ?
No, sorry. I didn't manage to find that in any HP document, only on forums...
And bigger switch than the 19xx have 256 entries too, so I wouldn't plan to do routing with a 1920...

Re: HP 1920 ARP table size ?
If you dump the configuration of the switch it shows the ARP table size in the created file.
On our 1920-24g it is limited to 265 entries.

Re: HP 1920 ARP table size ?
The 1920 can also route IPv6. What is the IPv6 neighbor table size limit?
Compared to L2 MAC CAM table size of 8192 , a max of 256 L3 hosts is pretty small.
Is there a command (in GUI or console mode) to devote a larger part of the ASIC switch fabric hardware to L3 functionality, sacrificing L2 MAC CAM table size?
On different brand switches, the command "sdm prefer" does this task.
