HP 1950 802.1x authentication

Greetings all.

I'm trying to understand whether with the latest firmware - R3208P16 - resolves the 802.1x issue that many of the threads highlighted - i went throught most of them -, but had no conclusive answer.

My use case is each 1950 would be trunked to a Aruba 2930M core serving each floor.

On some of the floors, these 1950 would be stacked.

I haven't done any 802.1x deployments - but our required goal is for wired LAN is to deny any non-company owned/non-domain joined laptops to connect to the wired network.

Authentication I understand would need to be by domain authentication via a NPS server.

My vendor claims that this setup doesn't work is this true?

Any input is welcome.
