HP v1910 RADIUS Setup

Hello,

I'm trying to setup RADIUS auth in a HP v1910-24G. I already updated the firmware to "5.20 Release 1516".

When I try to enter the shared RADIUS key, the switch tells me "Current IP has not be configured" and doesn't accept the key. What does that mean? Of course, my current IP has been configured. Which IP is it talking about?

Thanks for your help!

Hi t2d2!

I currently have the same problem. Have you managed to solve the issue? It is only the v1910 which gives me problems. I configured AAA authentication on my 1920 switches whitout any issues.

Sorry svarttjern,

I was not informed about your reply.
No, we did not solve the problem. Did you?

Re: HP v1910 RADIUS Setup

Same here, before firmware upgrade it just didn't work (RADIUS server didn't receive any packets), after upgraded to 1518, it started popping up the "Current IP has not been configured" :(

Re: HP v1910 RADIUS Setup

Progress: Using the new firmware, a new Security Policy Server field appeared on the bottom of the RADIUS Setup page, and setting it to a valid IP solved the popup problem - now it says "Current IP has been configured".

But I don't have a security poicy server (not needed for a proof-of-concept config I think), only a freshly installed FreeRADIUS, which still doesn't receive any packets... :/

Please if anyone has ever got FreeRADIUS working with a HP V1910, tell me the secret! :'(
