Check status of NTBackup Job

hi

A small firm is now backing up their AD controller (WIN2003 Standard) server using NTBackup from Windows on the network share from a NAS server.
Under Status of Scheduled Tasks, I cannot see if the Backup Job was successfully.
Knows someone a script or howto get an information by mail if a NTBackup Job was failed?
