Clarification on Maximum Boot Partition Size...w2k3

Good day,

I REALLY need some clarification on the maximum size I can have for a Windows 2003 R2 (w/SP2) 32-bit boot partition. I have seen 4GB, 8GB, and up to 2TB. I am using a Smart Array P400 and when configuring the 2x72GB RAID 1+0 array (why isn't RAID 1 available?) using the SmartStart CD (v8.10) it asks if I wish to enable max boot (gives 8GB boot partition at 63 sectors per track) or leave it disabled (4 GB boot partition at 32 sectors per track). It also states that there is a performance gain at leaving it disabled and running 32 sectors per track. I want to have the whole array as the boot partition, as I have a second array for my data, but this seems to state that this is not possible.

Also, I thought RAID 1+0 needed a minimum of 4 drives, but RAID 1+0 and RAID 0 are the only available options for a RAID config from SmartStart (where is RAID 1, or is this HP's version of RAID 1)

Can someone shed some light on this for me?

TIA

RAID1 and RAID10 are same in HP terms.
RAID10 with 2 drives is RAID1.

Max boot partition size is 2 TB

And regarding Max boot option in SmartStart - AFAIK it's just throw-back.
