Cluster + MSA 1000 Read-only files
Hi all,
when I try to change the properties of read-only on the shared files os the cluster resource, it will not change anything, but any error appears. Just uncheck the read-only box and when I close with Accept and opens again the read-only box is checked.
I can change files and folders so i don't know if its normal or not.
Thanks
Best Regards

Re: Cluster + MSA 1000 Read-only files
Hi,
That's nothing to do with msa1000. I think it's normal.
Check
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=256614
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=326549
You can try to remove share, and recreate it using the File Manager (system32\filesvr.msc) tool.

Re: Cluster + MSA 1000 Read-only files
i use a tool called process explorer from sysinternals.com to see where the system has handles in the event of a sharing violation like this. explorer is notorious for opening and holding files much longer then it should.
There have been Innumerable people who have helped me. Of course, I've managed to piss most of them off.
