Re: Component: NIC Management Agent Error - Event ID 299
It could be related to HP VT (Virus Throttle) if this is installed.
Check out this paper on HP VT:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00369532/c00369532.pdf
Then check if the HP VT is installed.
The error message indicates WMI does not find what it expects to query HP VT for events/performance data. So, it could need removal and reinstalling if installed.
If it's not installed it indicates WMI is regardless trying to query the HP VT component. This could be due to some application or maybe centralized event management tool/reporting that uses WMI to query a range of servers for HP VT events.
Cheers,
Rune

Re: Component: NIC Management Agent Error - Event ID 299
Hi,
I saw another very old thread about the same problem.
Do you actually have the latest Insight managements agents and drivers installed?
