DL380 G5 will not boot Windows from disk or CD
We have a DL380 G5 which shut down over the weekend and now bizarrely refuses to boot from either the Windows Server 2003 installation on disk or from the Windows install CD (it gets to "Setup is inspecting your hardware..." and then goes to a black screen). The server happily boots from SmartStart CD or a Linux live CD.
I have upgraded the firmware to the latest version, cleared the NVRAM, changed the boot order, verified the array, verified the RAM and run Insight diagnostics none of which have helped.
Any advice?
Thanks,
Alex

Re: DL380 G5 will not boot Windows from disk or CD
Thanks for the response. The DVD drive is ok as the system will boot from the SmartStart disc or a Linux "live" disc. Windows appears to be having issues with a piece of hardware, but Insight diagnostics cannot find a fault.
Also, the system is out of warranty.
Thanks,
Alex
