I have run up against an issue I do not know where to turn. First off I run a small network with a 2k3 SBS. It only runs local machines. Recently our company has expanded to another city. But with only a few machines, they have gotten by just running on a wireless workgroup (being that there are only 4 nods) It is time to however to further implement the system. We do not have the funds to place another server at the new location. Yet the users need to access their email. My first thought was web mail.
But now when I send email to a client who is at the new location, the exchange grabs it and sends it to his local machine on the domain. He does not have a chance to grab it within the web mail. Any suggestions?
Is there a way for me to tell the exchange to leave it alone until you hit send and receive?
Any help would be appreciated
Thank you
Bill

SolutionIf your using Exchange Services, the mail should stay ont the server and you should not have this issue.

Re: exchange issue
Why not, creating a second Storage Group, rename it with the name of the new location then create a mailbox in the Second Storage Group and move the mailboxes of the new users.

Re: exchange issue
for example if i was going to send a message to bgates@ms.org
the the ms.org exchange would send it to his local machine on the ms.org domain before he had a chance to grab it off the webmail.
server base rules will fix this?
