How to remove unnecessary Fibre Channel Adapter Kit driver?
I have a BL460c G1 running Windows 2003.
Somehow at some point, HP StorageWorks Fibre Channel Adapter Kit for the x86 QLogic Storport Driver v. 1.5.0.0 was installed on this system. The system does not have an HBA.
Last night, I installed PSP 8.30. This pack contains HP StorageWorks Fibre Channel Adapter Kit for the x86 QLogic Storport Driver v. 1.9.0.0, but it cannot be installed because there is no HBA.
So now, although all needed software is up to date, my software status for this system is "major", because of this piece being out of date, even though it is not needed.
How do I remove the HP StorageWorks Fibre Channel Adapter Kit for the x86 QLogic Storport Driver v. 1.5.0.0 from the system?
Or alternately, how do I force the upgrade to 1.9.0.0, or tell the VCA to ignore this driver altogether?

Re: How to remove unnecessary Fibre Channel Adapter Kit driver?
Hi Brady
We have same problem with the Emulex Storport driver installed without a HBA existing.
Did you ever solve your problem?
Thanks
Colin
