Hello Friends ,
Currently we are using SAN management server for HP Proliant DL380 G5 , 2 Quad core 2.66 Ghz ,RAM 4 GB , HDD 30 GB. We are planned to change the HDD capacity 30 GB to 146 GB (Because local hdd only 2 GB only free).
1. Now currently that server running Command view 9.1 and Insight manger and local application on Windows storage 2003 R2 Edition.
2. I want replace existing HDD ( 30 GB ) disk to put new 146 GB disk. Right now there is no operating system for windows 2003 R2 in MSDN site only its available windows storage 2008 R2.
3. Suppose I go for windows 2008 R2 fresh installation ( because of that any problem for command view & Insight manager .. etc)..
Kindly any one of friends gives me some advice.
Note: If any knows where i am downloading windows storage 2003 R2 OS.
Regards
Rajamani

Solution
hi Rajamani,
option1:-(if ur svr don`t have h/w raid)
just connect the 146gb.and source 30gb "basic to convert to dynamic" and add mirror in exciting 146gb,then u need to break mirror(make sure bkup is there)..so its like simple vol..so u can easly extend the size as reqd without any trouble.
FYI:-
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;323432
demo:- http://www.impartlabs.com/2008/03/windows-disk-management-preview.html
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/wss2003/default.mspx
option 2:-command view & Insight manager will support 2008 but need chk h/w and storage compatable
option 3:- get windows storage 2003 R2 OS torrents..
