HP Network Utility - disabled the nic when I configured remotely

Hi,

I was trying to configure teaming by remotely connected to the server using HP Network Utility in DL380 G5 server installed with Windows 2003 Enterprise server, and the network cards got disabled during the configuration because in middle of installation the network deamon got refreshed and I lost the connectivity to the server.

Now I again connected to the same server remotely, and I can see the newly configured Team, but it shows as 'media disconnected' and the network cards are showing disabled. I tried to enable the network cards by right clicking the local area connection and it failed.

Can somebody suggest me how I can enable the NIC cards or how I can delete the team, which I configured? I am not finding the team or these cards details in HP network utility now.

Your early reply will be highly appreciated.

Please don't hesitate to contact me for any clarification.

Thanks and Regards,

"Hi,
I was see similar behaviour during update to newest Proliant support pack on servers with NC31xx and NC77xx network cards. In my case network connection was just disabled after installation NIC driver from PSP.
I tried to do "enable network connections" without success. Only way I found to solve the problem was UNINSTALL network card from Device manager and restart server. After server restart NIC driver installed automatically and you just need to define your TCP/IP properties for the NIC.
I hope it will help in your case as well."

Instead of a 'normal' RDP connection use:

mstsc /console

You'll see more stuff to poke at.
