HP Officejet 7130
Here's my problem, this printer tends to just start printing without prompt. Page after Page of nothing but "hyroglificks" across the top of each page.
The only way to get it to stop is to press cancel but then it'll start again within seconds or it'll be okay for a couple of hours and then I'll come in the a.m. and there is a stack of pages in the tray.
HELP!!!

Re: HP Officejet 7130
This "sounds" like you're getting some sort of spike or surge to the printer.
Make sure that the printer is connected to a sepperate surge protector, away from any equipment that may power up at odd times (office refrigerator, water cooler, etc).
Best practise is to isolate the printer (and/or computer) on a sepparate curcuit (if possible).

Re: HP Officejet 7130
Hi Kristine,
If what Jon suggests is correct, you should be able to see this effect when the printer is not connected to the computer.
I have seen some weird effects with the HP printer drivers for W2K3.. so I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of those cases!
How is the printer connected? direct parallel?, networked?

If you can keep your head whilst all around you are losing theirs... You haven't understood the situation!
