MSA1000 - can see disks but not data
Hi all,
I have 2 win2k3R2 Enterprise servers both connected to an MSA1000. Have recently updated all firmware and device drivers (on both servers and the MSA). Both servers can see the MSA but only 1 can see the data. I'm sure its something simple but how do I get both servers to see the data?
Both servers will be running Oracle RAC with 10g. The data volume is presented as a RAW file type.
Each server has:
win2k3R2 Ent.
2 * HBA FC2142SR, 4Gb Fibre, F/w: 2.82a4, kernel: 1.21a0, boot: 2.12a6
HP MPIO FF MSA v3.02 (replaces Secure path 4.03SP3)
HP MPIO DSM Manager
Device Manager - SCSI and RAID controllers:
2 * "Emulex LightPulse A8002A, FC Storport Miniport Driver", Driver: Emulex, ver: 5.2.33.8, date: 11/1/2010.
Multi-path support, Driver: Microsoft, ver: 1.22.3790.2358, date: 11/12/2008.
MSA1000:
Dual controller, f/w: 7.2 Active/Active (upgraded from 4.48 Active/Passive)
Is there any other information you need to be able to provide some help?
Thanks,
Barry

Re: MSA1000 - can see disks but not data
Forgot to add that both servers were able to see the shared disk before the updates got applied.
I have also added two MS hotfixes related to storport drivers: KB932755 & KB945119

Re: MSA1000 - can see disks but not data
also, using PSP8.7 and firmware dvd 9.2
Server 2 sees the disk and data.
Server 1 sees the disk as an unformatted disk.
