NIC not detect

hello to all member,
I have ML 370 G4 Server which have 1 onboard NIC, my problem is when I want install 1 New NIC ( 3c996B gigabit ) my windows 2003 server can't detected it, when I tried to install on another server that card can detected, how it come, can you give some advise

If you're running Windows, an HP-UX forum may
not be the best place for your question.

Hello,
Which NIC Card ? model/make ?
Win2k3 ... SP ?? Is it the same on the other server ?
Did u try a different slot ?

It may be a problem of Slot in Server

Do you have the latest driver update?

There does not seem to be 2003 drivers accompanying the board, since it was introduced before Windows 2003 - so you probably need the update.

Also from this earlier forum discussion it seems this old NIC requires 5V while the ML370 G4 only supports the newer standard of 3.3V
