Printers Not working with Terminal Services on Windows Servers 2003

I have several printers that arent working with windows server but a few that are. It seems as though the older printers work, but the brand new ones dont. Is it true that HP doesnt support Server 2003?

Richard:

I don't think this forum would exist if HP didn't support WIN2K3. Please post the models of printers your having problems with. Do the printers work natively (outside of Terminal Services)?

Thanks

Re: Printers Not working with Terminal Services on Windows Servers 2003

I have a Laserjet 1300 and Laserjet 2300 that are not working. I install them through terminal services but they still dont go. When I try to get the latest drivers, the latest option is Windows 2000 and not 2003 Server. I was talking to an online support specialist the other day, and he said HP didnt support HP, which I why I said that in the first post.

I'm leaving for a customer visit now. I'll try to find the alleged drivers when I return this evening.

Re: Printers Not working with Terminal Services on Windows Servers 2003

problem found. Terminal services doesnt allow local printers to be connected through USB and thats what I was using. I switched to LPT1 ports for both laserjets and they are both working fine.

Took a while, but I finally got my help, lol. Thanks
