Windows 2003 server and Proliant 800 + netcard

Hello group
Can anyone help me, my netcard (on board) wont work under Windows 2003 server.

When I try to put a new netcard into the server and disable the netcard on board, then the server wont start at all.

Will HP support Proliant 800 and windows 2003 server ?

John:

The implication of this webpage is that WIN2K3 is not supported on the PL800:

I suggest you try the WIN2K driver from here:

Before attempting the WIN2K3 install, I would install the latest BIOS and firmwares from here:

Re: Windows 2003 server and Proliant 800 + netcard

If the W2K drivers don't work your SOL.

There overall has been a serious lack of driver updates for W2K3. Most companies don't want to spend the time or the resources on drivers for a platform that only a small percentage of the market are choosing to upgrade to.

While HP won't support it, if your in the mood to complain, calling HP might do some good across the board and help get the message out for the need for new drivers.

I would support Roger's Idea to flash the BIOS.
Also, please post yout NIC Model.

I don't know if you have resolved this or not but, this driver worked for me...
