Re: Register XP24k to SMTP and enable alerts

Just like any other suite/app/tool -- all you need to do is specify your organisations SMTP Server.

If your CommandView AE server is a full member of the Windows Domain -- then it should have SMTP Access. Just specify your SMTP Server and enable whateevr alerts you wish to send an email for...

It's all in the COmmandView Manual good sir.

Re: Register XP24k to SMTP and enable alerts

You can use the Remote Web Console if you don't have Command View XP Advanced Edition.

Start at "Go", then "Settings", then "E-mail Information". Click the radio button next to "Enable" and complete the SMTP info. The clcik "Apply". There is some good documentation in the Remote Web Console User Guide. Search for "SMTP".

Link for manual download:

Re: Register XP24k to SMTP and enable alerts

I see the prob - a period got to the end of the URL. Click the link again and it will fail. Then just delete the last character in the URL (a period) and it works. Sorry about that.

You can put a dummy name for the "From" address "XP24000@Mycompany.com or something like that. You can put a real return address in the next field if you want people to be able to respond.

Good Luck,
