XP256 / XP512 timeout parameter

In the manual, describing how to attach XP256 / XP512 to HP-UX (title: ' HP-UX
Configuration Guide', can be found, using the following URL: http://www.hp.com/cposupport/manindex/hpsurestor19161_eng_man.html), HP
describes how to set the timeout value, using adb. I was astonished to read this, since I would have expected them to use the pvchange -t ... syntax. In addition
to that, using adb implies that this change affects all disks (not only the XP LUNs),
something which may be unwanted, wheras pvchange acts on a LUN level.

Does anyone have an idea, why they are recommending adb? Thanks for your help.

No idea...
I've tested pvchange -t 60 and it works just fine. 60 secs were enough for our CA env.
