Have You Seen the Newest HPE OEM SQL Server 2014 Standard Edition SKUs?
Microsoft® SQL Server® 2014 Standard edition gives customers core data management and business intelligence capabilities for non-critical workloads with minimal IT resources. With SQL Server 2014 Standard you get the reliability and uptime, security, and manageability that your business needs.
So, what’s new from HPE?
HPE has new HPE OEM SQL Server 2014 Standard SKUs available through two different licensing models: Server + Client Access License (CAL) licensing and Core licensing. Let’s take a closer look at these new HPE offerings.
Server + CAL Licensing: Available direct from HPE and now available through authorized HPE Reseller Partners.
- Server + CAL licensing is still available directly from HPE as a Not Preinstalled option (drop in the box)—SQL Server Standard Base Licenses include media and a COA with the product key.
- SQL Server Standard Additional Licenses are also available to support more Virtual Machines (VMs), they include a server card with a COA Keyless Product tracking ID attached—does not include media.
