LH3 hotswap drives replacement
Hi All
I have a few 9.1gb Hot Swap drives for a LH3
I am trying to replace the actual hard disks in the carrier with new 72Gb seagate drives.
Does anyone know what type/partnumber I need to be looking for.

Re: LH3 hotswap drives replacement
For HP tested & supported drives, the only 72 GB is a half-height:
D9420A: 73.4GB 10,000 RPM 'Hot Swap' Ultra3 SCSI Hard Drive Module - Half Height
You are probably looking for low profile - the largest supported drive is 36 GB:
D9419A: 36.4GB 10,000 RPM 'Hot Swap' Ultra3 SCSI Hard Drive LP (low profile)
See the Technical Reference Card for more info on HH vs LP (you can mix them):

Re: LH3 hotswap drives replacement
I was trying to dismantle a half height 9Gb hotswap drive and substitute a seagate ST373307LC in its place.

Re: LH3 hotswap drives replacement
If you want 3rd party one's I've just upgraded a customer with these
ST336753LC SEA C'TAH 15K.3 36GB U320 80P 8MB 4.7MS
ST373453LC SEA C'TAH 15K.3 73GB U320 80P 8MB 4.7MS
We just swapped the mechs over - obviously not suppported by hp but will save you some money and frankly the server is that old I don't supposed hp mtc is an issue. Ours actually went into a D6106A caddy and in an LH6000. I tried to get proper hp one first but I couldn't find any either new or 2nd user.
