Sruthi Nair HPE Careers.jpg

Since the beginning, HPE has advanced the way people live and work by creating innovative technology at the heart of successful organizations and communities all over the world. We invite you inside our careers and culture through stories of the people that power HPEour team members.

Sruthi Nair, Senior Financial Analyst, discusses more about her finance background on both the profit and loss and revenue sides while sharing her career aspirations, advice, and favorite part about HPE’s culture.

Sruthi’s HPE career journey

Based in Singapore, Sruthi Nair has been with HPE for eight years and serves as a Senior Financial Analyst as the as-a-service Finance lead for Southpac. She provides insights, value-added analysis, and direction for key finance processes for HPE Greenlake. She works closely with stakeholders on deal structuring and providing regular heads up on business unit performance to ensure the team wins together to achieve HPE’s objectives.

Sruthi is always looking for professional growth anytime a new opportunity arises. When she was offered her current role, HPE was pivoting to an as-a-service model and it was a chance for her to learn something new. Her previous roles focused more on the cost side of profit and loss compared to the revenue side. She was the Finance APJ lead for supply chain where she gained understanding of procurement, inventory management, and logistics. Then she was in a Finance role for India focused on delivery, gaining insight to how resources allocation and utilization worked. Both roles aided her personal and professional growth while giving her new perspectives on how to handle issues in a better way and provide more meaningful insights.

Team member straight talk

Q: How would you describe the culture at HPE?
A: The culture at HPE is what keeps team members performing at their best, while at the same time, not ignoring their personal lives. The work life balance culture promoted by the leaders at HPE is fantastic. It is not only talk, but you can see it come to life through initiatives like Wellness Friday. Specifically for my team, we have a great leader who believes in each of us which brings out our potential and grooms us to become leaders of the future. I feel my teammates and I are subject matter experts in our respective areas, and we do whatever we can to support each other, which really makes a compelling and collaborative team environment.

Q: How do you redefine what’s next for your career?
A: My end goal is to be a senior leader in Finance, like the Chief Financial Officer, and I am open to exploring any career roles if the path leads me to my end goal. I never restrict myself within the definition or boundaries of how finance has been traditionally functioning and look for opportunities to explore and redefine the way the world perceives finance.

Q: What get you most excited about the future?
A: We are in exciting times as the market grows, and AI becomes the new talk of the town. I would like to see how I can contribute from a finance angle to the upcoming changes in this dynamic technology world while still ensuring I achieve the career goals I have set out for myself.
