Returning to HPE: Redefining what's next on familiar ground

Hello everyone! My name is Loh Khai Peng, South-East Asia Managing Director at HPE, based in Singapore. My 24-year journey with HPE has been very fortunate, marked by growth, exploration, and a deep-rooted connection to the company's ethos.

I am an avid believer in physical and mental health, and never miss my morning run. I keep myself in high spirits with good music. It's a good thing that HPE places utmost value on the overall well-being of its employees.

The boomerang beckons.

Initially joining in 2001, I made the decision to leave very early as I was hungry to explore more. I embarked on a quest for varied experiences, briefly departing from 2002 to 2006. However, the pull of HPE's culture proved irresistible. It's a culture that fosters respect, encourages exploration, and provides a broad scope for personal and professional development. I joined back in Singapore in to the regional role of APJ Storage Managing Director.

My decision to return was not solely influenced by the company's leadership or values. It was the holistic platform HPE offers, transcending the boundaries of traditional technology companies. Here, the focus is on partnering with customers and solution providers to craft long-term, transformative solutions. This non-transactional approach, centred on solving problems and creating enduring value, resonated deeply with me.

Rediscovering HPE's culture.

Returning felt right immediately. This certainty has only grown stronger over the past 18 years.

Today, as South-East Asia MD, I find myself immersed in more and more strategic initiatives, a testament to my progression within the organization and the trust placed in me to drive impactful change.

The culture here is palpable, characterized by a relentless commitment to customer and partner success. Moreover, individuals aren't confined by rigid structures but empowered to explore diverse roles, redefining their career paths. This dynamic environment cultivates exceptional leaders, many of whom have emerged from within the ranks of HPE and hence deeply understand frontline experiences.

Another aspect that distinguishes HPE's culture is its unwavering dedication to social impact and community engagement. Initiatives like HPE Gives, fosters a culture of empathy and service among the employees.

The future is exciting.

Today, I'm filled with a sense of purpose and possibility. My journey, both past and present, has been shaped by the values of trust, transparency, and integrity that define this organization. As I look to the future, I'm excited to contribute to HPE's continued evolution, leveraging our collective strengths to drive meaningful change in the world.

Together, we redefine what's next, not just for HPE, but for the industries and communities we serve.
