Addressing next-gen app challenges with VMware and HPE
As organizations deploy next-generation apps, traditional IT architectures are being stretched thin.
The age of digital transformation has introduced new challenges for IT, including ever-increasing pressure on server CPUs, resulting in less-than-optimal performance.
A new concept of fabric virtualization
Thatโs where the VMwareยฎ Project Monterey initiative comes in: to help organizations address the increasingly complex application landscape with a new concept of fabric virtualization that immerses various network, storage, security, management, and life cycle services in the underlying fabric itself.
Additionally, the initiative will extend VMware infrastructure and operations for all applicationsโreducing the need for specialized systems, teams, and management tools. This, in turn, will reduce overall complexity and TCO.
Cloud-ready turnkey appliance from Cannery Row
HPE, in partnership with VMware, is developing a new system architecture for Project Monterey, a system architecture that enables the performance, security, and as-a-service demands of these next-gen apps.
Partnering with Pensando, HPEโs Cannery Row will offer the complete solution as an appliance. VMware Cloud Foundationโข (VCF) will be able to maintain compute virtualization on the server CPU while offloading networking and storage I/O functions to SmartIOโs from Pensando.
HPE secret sauce
Cannery Row will serve the need for a cloud-ready turnkey appliance built on a dominant software stack and capable of offering SmartIO/DPU offload and performance capabilities. While this approach is consistent across all OEM vendors, the secret sauce for HPE is leveraging its substantial IP across hybrid IT to create the most differentiated Project Monterey appliance available.
A unique opportunity at the cutting edge
Is your enterprise looking to refresh your servers and ESXi? Would you like to be part of the HPE Cannery Row Early Access program? Help us evaluate a new installation of ESXi on preconfigured clusters of three to 64 servers accessed virtually.
This is a unique opportunity for participating customers to collaborate with VMware, Pensando and HPE to test and validate your use cases and solve real pain points.
Participant profile
The ideal candidate is an enterprise with more than 1000 employees located in North America, DACH, UK&I, or Latin America.
On the IT side, your last ESXi refresh must have taken place more than 3 years ago, and/or more than three years since your last server hardware refresh. Plus, you must be willing to deploy HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Plus.
To be part of this exciting Early Access program, sign up by Friday, December 17, 2021. Take the first step to Cannery Row and the next generation of computing โฆโฆ. email HPE-VMWareSolutions@hpe.com.
