NEW HPE Apollo Gen10 plus validated configurations for Microsoft Azure Stack HCI

HPE and Microsoft understand that, to truly power innovation with data, you need solutions that are easy to deploy, easy to scale, and even easier to manage. Companies of all sizes and capabilities are recognizing the value of easy-to-use, affordable hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) to alleviate some of the strain of delivering demanding, data-centric workloads. Microsoft Azure Stack HCI makes it even easier, with a software-defined, integrated compute and storage alternative to traditional architectures.  HPE Azure Stack HCI solutions are validated and supported by both Microsoft and HPE to make implementing and managing IT infrastructure a simple and quick task.

HPE Azure Stack HCI solutions combine validated hardware from HPE with the Azure Stack HCI operating system (OS), delivered as a service; Windows Admin Center (WAC) and HPE extensions; Hyper-V-based virtualized compute resources; Microsoft Storage Spaces Direct (SSD) virtualized storage; and software-defined, virtualized networking. Whatโ€™s more, the Azure Stack HCI OS integrates these hyperconverged infrastructures with Azure hybrid services to extend the data center to the cloud and run virtual workloads more efficiently. You can make your infrastructure hybrid by seamlessly connecting it to Azure services such as Azure Backup, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Azure Site Recovery. Plus, you can manage Azure Stack HCI hosts, virtual machines (VMs), and Azure resources side by side in the Azure portal.

HPE Azure Stack HCI solutions use Microsoft-validated HPE hardware. We continue to invest in this new hybrid cloud infrastructure solution targeting organizations that want to run especially demanding, data-centric workloads on their Azure cloud-connected HCI clusters. The new offer includes validated configurations built on the HPE Apollo 4200 Gen10 Plus system.

This validated solution using the new Gen10 Plus system supplements the affordable, capacity-oriented Azure Stack HCI on HPE Apollo 4200 Gen10 solution. The new Gen10 Plus system adds to the configuration lineup with new performance-oriented options, including the latest processors; more memory; 33% more potential high performance, low-latency NVMe data capacity; and select GPU and FPGA accelerator support.

Validation testing was performed on the additional networking and NVMe drive options, and assets were updated to reflect additional tested hardware, a new reference BOM, and support for single-node clusters. Learn more:
