HPE drives new hybrid cloud data storage solutions at Microsoft Ignite 2023
Learn about the latest HPE data storage solutions for Microsoft and the Azure cloud at Microsoft Ignite 2023.
-By Mike Harding, Manager, Microsoft and Industry Solutions, HPE Storage
Microsoft has strongly shifted to all things AI. The company promoted AI heavily in the recent partner event Inspire, and wrote about in the recent shareholder letter. So itโs no surprise that Microsoftโs AI transformation continues in earnest at this yearโs Microsoft Ignite event, taking place in Seattle and online November 14โ17.
Microsoft Ignite 2023 promises to show what's next in technology, offer access to product experts, and facilitate focused business networking. The physical event itself is expected to be smaller than the Ignites of yore, with just 4,000 planned in attendance in Seattle, but potentially hundreds of thousands are expected to join online. Most of the online sessions are live, and many will not be recorded โ so there will still be that feeling of a unique happening shared by those who take the time to participate.
Other things to note about Ignite 2023 are the live keynotes, which kick off Wednesday, November 15, at 9am PT. CEO Satya Nadella kicks off the conference with the opening keynote. Weโll then hear EVP, Experiences + Devices Rajesh Jha, talking about the innovative new AI assistant feature, Microsoft Co-Pilot, which seems to be a part of every Microsoft product (at least 10 as of today, as far as I can tell). Followed by EVP, Microsoft Security, and former AWS Cloud exec Charlie Bell, presenting on the future of security with AI.
Beyond the opening, youโll find a bewildering amount of content to choose from, with over 500 sessions spanning just three days. Fortunately many will be recorded to allow you to โbackpackโ it for later viewing. If youโre not already one of the lucky ones who managed to get an actual show pass before it sold out almost immediately weeks ago, you can join online and enjoy an informative and timely tech event providing relevant content even if you donโt consider yourself a โMicrosoft shop.โ
HPE at Ignite
HPE continues to be an Ignite sponsor, extending a multi-decade streak of partnership and co-development with the Redmond giant. Weโll have lead members of our Microsoft team at the event, with experts staffing a physical booth space to demo and take questions about our Microsoft solutions.
HPE is joining in with a technical session, available to view on demand, along with a sponsor webpage chockful of valuable content on the broad line of HPE solutions for Microsoft workloads, which includes HPE server, storage, networking and services as key underlying components. As youโve come to expect, a central theme is HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform delivering the benefits of getting cloud-based management and pay-as-you-go flexibility, plus the control and security of on-premises infrastructure.
The big hybrid cloud news at Microsoft Ignite 2023: Microsoft Azure Stack HCI on the HPE Alletra Storage Server 4110
Hybrid cloud, a combination of on-premises and cloud resources, has emerged as a game-changer for businesses looking to balance flexibility, security, and scalability. HPE has recognized the potential of this approach and has invested heavily in developing a suite of products and services that make the hybrid cloud a reality for our customers.
Leading the hybrid cloud news at the event is the launch of the Microsoft Azure Stack HCI on the HPE Alletra Storage Server 4110. This exciting new hybrid cloud infrastructure brings new levels of performance to this data-centric Azure Stack HCI solution. Itโs the latest addition to the line of Azure Stack HCI validated solutions targeted for capacity oriented, data intensive uses, which have been hosted on the HPE Apollo 4200 storage servers. The new HPE Alletra storage server 4110 uses all-NVMe storage, the latest EDSFF media and a PCIe 5.0 architecture for maximum performance, whereas the HPE Apollo 4200 Gen10 Plus provides an affordable-capacity alternative.
This solution joins many other HPE hybrid cloud solutions such validated solutions using various HPE server platforms, and the newest addition, an integrated Azure Stack HCI built on the HPE DL380.
Throwing open the curtain on a diverse hybrid cloud portfolio catering to a wide range of enterprise needs
Here's what else the HPE Hybrid Cloud team is talking about and showing off at Ignite:
