Introducing the sixth generation of HPE StoreEasy Storage
Learn about the new StoreEasy NAS models with a new management experience, lower cost expansion, more security capabilities and twice the performance of the previous generation.
Today we launched the next-gen of our affordable, entry-level network-attached storage appliances, rounding out the March introduction of the capacity-optimized StoreEasy 1660 and the performance-optimized StoreEasy 1860.
For more than a decade, HPE StoreEasy Storage has been selected by organizations in every industry and at every size, all over the world, to meet file storage needs.
Built from the best-selling HPE ProLiant Gen10 family of servers and crafted to meet the file and application data storage needs of SMBs and distributed branch offices, the sixth generation of HPE StoreEasy Storage is arguably our best yet. What I’m most excited about is how we’re driving UX improvements for StoreEasy admins through our recently launched management console & REST API. We’ve got a lot of goodness we’re cooking up for future releases, and my team is looking forward to sharing updates on console development in the near future.
We build our pre-configured models leveraging best-in-class ProLiant Gen10 components needed for a resilient, scalable file storage platform. Powered by Intel Xeon Scalable family processors, we embed the Windows Storage Server 2016 Operating System and tune the image to help streamline initial configuration and avoid common missteps when setting up your new NAS.
More benefits whichever StoreEasy model you choose
In addition to a simplified management experience, the sixth generation products are built from the most secure industry-standard servers in the world and pack in up to 2x better performance and 60% more internal capacity.
- The new StoreEasy 1460 is a compact 1U rack mount with 4 large form factor slots and is available in 8TB, 16TB, and 32TB configurations with support for memory expansion and a second processor if needed.
- The new StoreEasy 1560 is our tower model with 4 large form factor drives standard (optionally up to 8 with an add-on drive cage). The StoreEasy 1560 is ideal for space-constrained environments and those without racks on-site, and is available in 8TB and 16TB configurations with an option to add 4 more drive slots & drives.
- The capacity-optimized StoreEasy 1660 is a 2U rack mount with 12 large form factor drive slots, scalable up to 16 total with a mid-chassis expansion tray for up to 192TB raw internal capacity. It is available in standard and higher performance configurations and delivers up to 2x the performance of the previous generation.
- The performance-optimized StoreEasy 1860 is a 2U rack mount with 24 small form factor drive slots, scalable up to 28 total with a rear expansion cage add-on for up to 67.2TB raw internal capacity.
- The sixth-generation StoreEasy platforms come with a license to iLO Advanced Premium Security Edition as standard, as well as lockable bezels, digitally signed firmware on components like drives and adapters, iLO Silicon Root of Trust, and a variety of supply chain, software and cryptographic protections to help your organization secure its critical intellectual property through authentication, encryption, integrity assurance, access controls and more.
