My pst file is very big in size. There are a number of mails with huge attachements. I need to remove the attachments withut deleting the mails. I can do it by openeing one by one and deleting the attachment. But this is time consuming as you know.
Is there any way to only delete attachments of multiple mails in a single shot?

Re: Deleting attachments in outlook
- As per the Knowledge base for deleting attachment of a single message:
In Microsoft Outlook, how do I delete an attachment without deleting the message?
1.Launch Outlook, and from the Inbox, open the message containing the attachment you want to delete.
2.Right-click the attachment, and from the resulting contextual menu, select Remove.
3.When you close the message, you'll be prompted to save your changes; click Yes.
Well, not aware of any deletion of attachments in single shot.
I think best optio you archive those email ,selec all and move to --> Archive folder Then and copy the archive .pst folder , t and preserve it. And this way you will save inbox space and mail both.
Cheers,
Raj.

Re: Deleting attachments in outlook
I know that. I am looking for a singlestep process. I think I can acheve it only using some third party software.

Re: Deleting attachments in outlook
As mentioned above try Ezdetac, you have to use a 3rd party software only:
30 days trial available, so you can check the functionality, with your outlook program.
