Other than changing the IP information inside Windows 2003SP1 Domain Controller network card properties, how will changing the IP affect SMS2003?
Will SMS realize the changes and continue flawlessly, or will we have to delete and re-install the secondary SMS site?
Any help/411 would be great. Thanks...

SolutionYou only need to change the IP
subnet boundary for the secondary site if you use boundary according IP.
If you use boundary according AD site name - you doesn't need to do any change.

Re: microsoft sms 2003 - ip address change. impact on secondary site?
You could also, meanwhile, use a secondary IP address on the server.

Re: microsoft sms 2003 - ip address change. impact on secondary site?
I also found on another forum that I should update the AD Sites & Services (subnets) for that particular site.
We do use the IP subnets for SMS Site boundaries, so, as long as I update AD Sites * Service in addition to the SMS Site boundaries we should be fine.

Re: microsoft sms 2003 - ip address change. impact on secondary site?
If the secondary Server is getting a new IP and subnet, make sure that it is(Subnet) added in AD. and make necessary changes in SMS 2003 Site boundaries(Pull it out from AD).
Coming to second consideration, the systems that were reporting to this Secondary site earlier will may not report to this server as this sec. sms server got an IP change and subnet too. So if there are any custom collection that u made for easy access will no where work.
Please let me know if you need any further information or clarifications.
