What is Time next connection retry in Queue of Exchange System Manager.

I am using Exchange 2003 server.Some mails of my exchange server are queued. And I found that the next connection retry is after so long.
Please have a look at the attached file about the queued mails.

In that the time oldest message submitted is 1/7/2005 4:20 AM and the next connection retry is 1/8/2005 7:59 PM. So, there is a long period between them. Can I do anything to send the mails immediately(not by the next connection retry). Though, I give Force connection it is useless.

And Could I know what are the things(problems and solutions) should I know in the DNS in case of Exchange server problem.

Or where can I read about that?
