I am involved in the SAN migration process and need to uninstall the Brocade SAN switch that is installed in bays 3 and 4 and replace it with 2 pass-through modules.
If possible I don't want to stop all VMs running on Blade servers and I think in the possibility uninstalling the Brocade installed in slot 3 install passthrough and connect the ports to a new external SAN switch and then the same process with the Brocade installed in slot 4.
Is this scenario possible?
Thank you

SolutionHello,
Though I am not an expert, the solution that is proposed sounds that it should technically work with the appropriate configuration on the external SAN switch as what is being proposed is to remove one Brocade SAN switch, install the pass through, wait for the connections to be up and confirmed and then proceed to do so to the second switch.
Before any activity is performed, it is recommended to backup data, configuration and have necessary HA solution available in place and with adequeate downtime notified.
