Not able to connect to the iLO remote console on the OA after a power outage on c7000
After a brief power outage we have lost connection to our VMware page and when I logged into the Onboard Administrator to iLO into one of the Blades it was not able to connect. I thought I'm able to iLO into the blades reguardless of what IP they are on?
I also have tried the following:
- reseated blades
- power cycled the whole chassie
- SSH into the OA and run the cmd ( reset server [bay number] ) on each blade
I've checked the logs and it nothing looks out of the ordinary. I was able to ping the blades IP while SSH into the OA.

Re: Not able to connect to the iLO remote console on the OA after a power outage on c7000
In our case, we needed to re-seat the blades and they came back.
Is the OA giving out iLO IP addresses via dhcp or are they statically configured? Are the iLO pingable?
Do you have interconnects in the rear that are pingable and/or reachable?

Re: Not able to connect to the iLO remote console on the OA after a power outage on c7000
I reseated them and power cycled the entire chassis, but there was still no success. We have nothing on this machine; we were just setting it up with VMware and getting the licenses situated. Now, after the power outage, we can't pull up the vSphere page or access the iLO on the blades.
The iLO of the blades are static and are pingable only while ssh into the chassie OA. It's not pingable from our network/subnet.
the interconnects are pingable from our subnet that we set it on.

Re: Not able to connect to the iLO remote console on the OA after a power outage on c7000
Hi @rlan,
Since the iLOs are only pingable from within the Onboard Administrator (OA) but not from your broader network, it suggests that there might be a network isolation issue or misconfiguration at the chassis level, especially concerning iLO traffic. Let me know if you need further help
