OA replacement procedure

Hi Team,

We have facing an issue in c7000 enclosure ,

Onboard administrator (OA) is continously rebooting, while we try to login VCM or ILO and collecting some logs something will do , OA is automatically rebooting, some times is not coming up the OA, and after that we needto reset the OA and poser supply then only it come up.

could you please help on this above case

 we already ready for replacing the OA, Also could you please share the troubleshooting steps after OA replacement.

what are the prerequisition need to take before replacement the OA (onboard administrator)

Hello,

 

First take a full backup of the OA. Refer to the below link for backup the OA config.

Second, Check if the problematic OA is primary. if yes, Do a soft failover of the standy OA.

If the problematic OA is not primary, refer to the below link to replace the spare and check if the FW version is a match with the other OA.

If the OA firmware is match allow it to sync.

If the OA firmware is not a match, Upgarde or downgrade the firmware as per the other OA.


You can also raise a support case with HPE and the same can be replaced by a Onsite tech or perform the activity over a VR session if you have the replacement part handy.
