Re: end of support for hardware and software
But I am surprised. Is the latest version of omniback 5.0? If every version of omniback is not supported am I not supposed to use it? ;)

SolutionIt should be "End of OmniBack support". Of course OmniBack 4.1 and Data Protector 5.0 is supported but there is no official end of support for these.
Below is from 4.1 Release notes.
1.4 Discontinuance of Support
Omniback II A.03.10 stays fully supported until August 1, 2002.
Omniback II A.03.50 stays fully supported until August 1, 2003.
EMC Fastrax technology release becomes obsolete with the Omniback II A.04.10 release.
Omniback II A.04.00 stays fully supported until December 1, 2003.
After the full support period expires, Knowledgebase Support will be provided for one more year in each case.
Please be aware that you can request an individual extension of the full support at additional costs.
1.5 Updated Information
For the latest information, including corrections to documentation refer to:

Re: end of support for hardware and software
I'll just call this a question about omniback support now. I'll put in a new post about V2500, V2600, K250, K570, perfview, glance plus.....etc.

There are links here for OV and NNM.

Hardware EOL is different, you have to have someone look up the part number for the model. Unfortunately there is no consolidated website for that, yet.
You could search old posts in the Forum as this topic has been shared several times.

Re: end of support for hardware and software
I'm not too good at searching the forums at times. This is usually because I would use a different phrase, like "end of support" instead of "end of life". Hmm. "end of life" sounds too sterile.

Workstations Link:

Servers Link:

Notice which machines are supported by 11 and 11i (32 vs 64 bit) or Not! You can expect that the models that dont have or maintain 32/64 bit capability to fall off the supported list. (This would also coincide with the HP-UX EOL site. For instance it might be safe to say that when 11.00 32 bit only goes away, you could expect that support for the Hclass, a 11.00 32-bit only machine, would also go away.)
In the meantime I looked these up: all have no EOL dates as of yet. H50,K570,V2500,N4000(rp7400)
