A5120-HI and A5500-HI - ETA?
Hi,
I´ve just discovered the S5120-HI and S5500-HI switches on H3C´s homepage. When will those be available as HP A5120-HI and A5500-HI?
(It´s interesting to see that the S5120-EI/S5500-EI gets an hardware upgrade, plus SFP+, plus redundant power supply options, ...)

Re: A5120-HI and A5500-HI - ETA?
So, it´s finally here, at least the new 5500 series: HP 5500-48G-4SFP HI Switch with 2 interface Slots JG312A
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/14201_div/14201_div.PDF
Comparing with the PDF from my first post, some accessories are missing: e.g. the 10Gbase-T slot modules. Using google translation it says at least so. Other things like CX4, SFP, ... don´t have any part number.
Perhaps someone knows more, especially of the availability of the 10Gbase-T ones?

Re: A5120-HI and A5500-HI - ETA?
So, the first 5500-HI switch is on its way. Btw, there´s no 10Gbase-T@RJ45 port, was a typo.
Back to the 5120-HI. I really like to see this one being available in "rest of the world", too. That one would be a great 1Gbit/s TOR switch. Does anyone know more?

Re: A5120-HI and A5500-HI - ETA?
So, here we are again. HP A5500-HI are up for months and running without any real problem.
But still, when can I buy "HP" A5120-HI switches? Does anyone have more infos about availability of those?
I can only find the attached "HP A5120 HI Switch Series Compliance and Safety Manual".

Re: A5120-HI and A5500-HI - ETA?
costs - you cannot tell everyone to get a 5500-HI for layer 2. (No I will not tell my customers to buy Procurve switches)
- A5500-HI has been introduced as successor of A5500-EI
- A5120-HI is the successor of A5120-EI. Take a look at the datasheet of the S5120-HI: http://www.h3c.com/portal/download.do?id=1525558 dual power supply is nice to have, too.
