we are currently using XP12000 storage. The mamangement is thinking to relace it with IBM DS3500 instead, and so the server.
Now, my question is, what the level or model of HP storage product can DS3500 can compare to? I know they are different, and may not so easy to compare, but just for an approximte comparison.
Thanks,

Re: DS3500 Equivalent to what model of HP storage product
XP 12K is high end, and as far as I know DS3500 is an entry level storage,
Capacity may be the same but reliability and performance will not be comparible I think,
HP has EVA, Lefthand and MSA's comparible with DS3500,
But after XP12K all will be some sort of low level for you.
Your Local HP Sales and Pre-Sales guys can help you more.

Solution
Yes. We can't compare XP12k with DS3500.
HP StorageWorks P2000 G3 Modular Smart Array System is the similar product like DS3500. But again you need to consider the work load in existing XP12K as you are going to replace the high end storage with entry level/mid range storage.
HP Presales can be helpful by understanding the work loads on existing setup.
