External SCSI storage enclosure (tower)

Has somebody successfully implemented an External SCSI storage enclosure on a LH3000 netserver using a third-party Ultra320 RAID controller?

Can you provide me a list of the hardwares used (including the brand of the external enclosure) on such a setup?

I've ask this question because I am considering expanding our LH3000's storage subsystem using Ultra320 devices. Our existing controller is Ultra3.

We are surprised that more users are not interested in this. We have been working on and testing such a solution. U320 JBOD with U320 RAID controller.
How many external slot do you need?
Did you know the DS2300 supports U320? Pricey, if you can find it.

I have no idea regarding DS2300.
