PSP 8.0 W2K3 The LogicalDisk BusyTime performance property is set to critical

Hi,
Since the installation PSP 8.0 on BL465C in Windows 2003 SP1 French , I have errors in Event Viewer System ID Event: 1180
OS Information Agent: The logical Disk Performance Instance is failed with Disk Buzy Time of 100 percent

I have re-installed PSP 7.91 all is ok

Re: PSP 8.0 W2K3 The LogicalDisk BusyTime performance property is set to critical

I have experienced the same problem on any server I have deployed PSP 8.0
If anyone can suggest a solution, it would be much appreciated.

Re: PSP 8.0 W2K3 The LogicalDisk BusyTime performance property is set to critical

I have a similar problem with a Raid 1+0 setup (2 disks) on a DL380, and I can't seem to attribute the issue which keeps reoccurring to anything else. I recently installed the latest controller updates via my VCA. Has anyone had issues with this?

Re: PSP 8.0 W2K3 The LogicalDisk BusyTime performance property is set to critical

I have the same issue with PSP 8.0 on a DL380G3 running Windows 2003 SP2.

Any way to fix this short of downgrading back to 7.91?

Thanks.

Re: PSP 8.0 W2K3 The LogicalDisk BusyTime performance property is set to critical

To disable the monitoring of Logical Disk busy time, simply go to :

1) HP System Management Homepage
2) Operating System
3) Logical Disks
4) remove the threshold from the drive you receive the alarm !

5) Save Thresholds.

Finish !

Sorry, but there is no such "2) Operating System."

Where exactly can I find the option to disable the threshold?

Thanks

Re: PSP 8.0 W2K3 The LogicalDisk BusyTime performance property is set to critical

Hi,

Install the latest PSP 8.11 (A) 15 Sep 2008, and check the issue. You can also upgrade the firmware before the upgrade of PSP. I recommend an offline firmware upgrade. This will install all the supplemental firmwares (Hard disk firmware).

Firmware: 8.20 (31 Jul 2008)
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=3709945&prodSeriesId=3621769&prodNameId=3621782&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-3d1aaa0b48c04b628789e598d3

Unzip the file and burn the ISO to a CD. Boot the server using the CD
To deploy components offline:
1. Boot the server from the Firmware Maintenance CD .
2. At the prompt, select a language and keyboard.
3. Click Continue.
4. Read the End-User License Agreement. To continue, click Agree. The Firmware Maintenance CD interface appears.
5. Click the Firmware Update tab.
6. Click Install Firmware. The HP Smart Update Manager is initiated.

After the firmware upgrade, update the PSP from the following link.

OK, so this is expected to happens with older software & firmware version ?
Best regards,
