Hard disk failure(?)

We set-up Linux on one of our two X2000 workstations. It went well so we tried it on the other unit, which was running Windows 2000 without a hitch. But during the boot up process (LILO), I noticed that the time it took for the second PC to boot up was markedly slower than our first PC. So I tried to re-install Windows2000 on the second PC but it won't boot up with the bootable CD or emergency floppy. I confirmed the problem by disconnecting the boot drive (incidentally there are two 18GB Quantum Atlas 10K2 SCSI drives in each unit). What else should I try? I've run out of ideas. Thanks.

Hi,

Do you have the correct order of booting in the BIOS of the second PC? If you want to boot from CDROM/floppy, it should be something like CDROM - floppy - C.

Yup I already set it up like that. I even disabled them, rebooted and then re-enabled the boot sequence in case the BIOS was freaking out. But still same problem.
