D350 disk support

Will the D350 support the 18Gb disks in 10.20 happily. I have a user who has to stay at 10.20 for another twelve months but wants more disk space in his box.

Re: D350 disk support

Hi Steve:

I haven't tried in a D350 but I know the 18.2GB's work just fine in a D370/80/90 at 10.20 and 11x.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: D350 disk support

Hi,

Don't see any reason why you should be having any problem in using a 18GB disk with 10.20. The maximum that you may have to do if there is a problem is to add and entry in /etc/disktab file for the system to identify the 18GB disk. But i don't expect you would have to do that. you can add the disk without any probelm.

Hope this helps.

Re: D350 disk support

Hi Steve,

The 18GB disk will work in a D350. However, the part number for this drive is now listed as obsolete. There is a remarketed version of the disk: A5528AR -- Rmkt 18GB FWD disk drive for D-Class.

Hope this helps,

Walter
