unable to get console

HI I unable to get console from MP. Please help.

I'm not able to get login prompt from another server in the network i.e. either by telnet, rlogin or ssh. Please help

If the server is hung, try to TOC, not to reset it via RS command. This will create crash dump files for analisys.

If you cannot login via any available method - ssh, telnet, remsh, console the remaining workaround is if you have OVO installed to execute remote commands from the server (opcragt, opcrdeploy).

But have you got access to the GSP console of the RP ?

try and access the GSP/MP console, via lan if you have it configured, if note you have to go to the server phisically and connect via serial cable.

Try a serial cable to a laptop and use hyper terminal.

The most common settings are:

Com1
9600 Bits per second
8 data bits
Parity none
stop bits 1
flow control none or HardWare

I logged in through MP SERIAL console and got the console. As soon as i logged in the problem got solved with all logins working now. But please tell me what was the problem???? i have not been able to diagnose it and it may happen again in future.
