5406zl Crash after deleting VLAN
Hi there,
I just want to report that one of our cores crashed after deleting a VLAN ;-)
5406zl (J8697A)
Firmware: K.15.10.0009
It rebooted automatically after the crash and gave me that information after the logon:
Saved crash information: NMI event SW:IP=0x00e01f1c MSR:0x02029200 LR:0x00e02da4 cr: 0x24000400 sp:0x02af4008 xer:0x20000000 Press any key to continueD=0xab31000
a "show log" has this in the last entries
swcore1.mgmt# sh log Keys: W=Warning I=Information M=Major D=Debug E=Error ---- Event Log listing: Events Since Boot ---- I 07/16/13 18:48:33 00061 system: ----------------------------------------- I 07/16/13 18:48:33 00063 system: Mgmt Module 1 went down: 07/16/13 18:46:13 M 07/16/13 18:48:33 00064 system: NMI event SW:IP=0x00e01f1c MSR:0x02029200 LR:0x00e02da4
Things I did before:
logged on via ssh
swcore1.mgmt# configure swcore1.mgmt(config)# vlan 501 swcore1.mgmt(vlan-501)# name "atv-office-gnd" swcore1.mgmt(vlan-501)# ex swcore1.mgmt(config)# no vlan 501
After the "no vlan 501" it did not respond anymore.
And yes, this was a new created VLAN (I had to delete it because I messed the VLAN IP up).
Switch is up and running again - and I can create and delete VLANS withou an issue again.
So please consider this just as an report to HP ;-)
greetings,
phix

Re: 5406zl Crash after deleting VLAN
This is not the place to report bugs. You should contact HP support for that; HP staff do not regularly monitor these forums for bug reports.
