Connecting Two Procurve 2510-24 Switches
I would like to know the steps I need to take to connect two Procurve 2410-24 switches together on the same network.
Here is my basic design.
DSL Modem>SonicWall Router>Switch1>Switch2>Servers,PCS,Printers,ETC.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Connecting Two Procurve 2510-24 Switches
If you only plan to connect them with one cable, and there are no VLANs or anything else, there is nothing you need to do. If you can connect them via a compliant Ethernet run, they should just work.
If you want to use more than one cable, you will need to set up LACP or STP.

Re: Connecting Two Procurve 2510-24 Switches
Hi Paul,
Thank you for the clarification. Next question. I do only want to connect them with one cable. Do I need to connect them using one of the existing 24 ports or can I use port 25 on both switches to make the connection?
Thanks

Re: Connecting Two Procurve 2510-24 Switches
Hi raiders20,
Port 25 would be far preferable for connecting your two switches, because it is 1000 Mbps on the 2510-24, whereas ports 1-24 are 100 Mbps.
