problems with J8768A card
I have 4208 procurve switch, it has 3 card J8768A (slot A, C, and D) and one card J9033A (slot B) all cards works well. Yesterday I plugged a new J8768A card in slot E, but this doesn't work. I plug a pc in its ports but I don't have connection with rest of network . Port's light is on and blinks but i don't have connection with rest of network.
All port set auto in vlans
I changed the card to other slot (f) but it's the same.
regards.

Re: problems with J8768A card
Have you restarted the switch after inserting the card?
What does a "show run" give you in relation to the "E" slot?
Even though they are hot-swappable, if the last card that was ever in slot "E" was a different model card, then you need a reboot for the switch to load it up correctly.

Re: problems with J8768A card
Hello I power off the switch to insert card . There wasn't any card in slot E or F. There is a strange problem, when I plug a latop direct to card I can do a ping to rest of network. But if I plug a cable from patch panel to card there is not ping to rest of network. I don't understand what happen.

Re: problems with J8768A card
Give us a "show run" with the card inserted?
