QoS configuration for Lync packets with DSCP value
Hi,
we want to increase our use of Lync and use QoS in the LAN. Lync calls are already assigned a DSCP value of 40 (0x28) by GPO and are tagged correctly:
Differentiated Services Field: 0xa0 (DSCP 0x28: Class Selector 5; ECN: 0x00: Not-ECT (Not ECN-Capable Transport))
1010 00.. = Differentiated Services Codepoint: Class Selector 5 (0x28)
.... ..00 = Explicit Congestion Notification: Not-ECT (Not ECN-Capable Transport) (0x00)
Our switches are mostly HP 2510, 2520 or 4208vl. I already configured them to honor DSCP with this command:
qos type-of-service diff-services
Is there anything else I must do? Like configure any parameters in the switch?
