Could not find /etc/lvmpvg file

Need your help.
When I config Backup System 11i HP_UX OS for backuquestionp Business Copy LUN on VA7100, I could not find /etc/lvmpvg file. Do I have to create new /etc/lvmpvg file ? How to consistence Parent LUN with BC LUN ?
