Problems with default login on Storage Appliance Manager III
As stated in page 5 of the Storage Management Appliance Software v.2.1 Guide, the Windows 2000 Advanced Server default login password preset at the factory should be the last six characters of the Appliance serial number, in reverse order. In this case, since the serial number is M02ZFK3527, the password should be 7253KF. However, I've tried unsuccesfully to log on with this password. I've also made sure
I've typed all letters in uppercase. Is there any other way to find out what the default password is so that I may login to the appliance and start configuring the EVA's?
Thanks for your help,
Christian

Re: Problems with default login on Storage Appliance Manager III
Christian:
Your just a bit off there.
The password is "adminxxxxxx" where xxxxxx is the last 6 characters reversed.
So for your serial number, I would enter
admin7253KF as the password.

Re: Problems with default login on Storage Appliance Manager III
Mike,
You're absolutely right! In my rush to set things up, I overlooked the obvious - namely, the "admin" part of the password.
Needless to say everything's working great now.
Thanks!!!
